BFA APPROVED (explained below) - Salt of the Earth - Certified organic coarse celtic sea salt, hand harvested in North West France. Completely natural, nothing added or removed, 100% natural and Chemical free. A fully mineralised moist mineral and trace element rich sea salt. Fully mineralised natural salt does not create thirst and actually assists in hydration. What does BFA Approved mean? Products like water, salt, and cosmetic products made up of primarily natural unrefined or mineral-based ingredients, are not certifiable as organic. Because salt is packaged in its natural state, it is not labelled as organic. It is not of agricultural origin. Salt is not covered under the scope of the National Organic Standard.The BFA put in place the Approved Products program to assess such products like salt to ensure that they are natural and environmentally friendly. BFA approved means that the product and all of the ingredients have been approved by BFA and have met their audit checks to prove no artificial chemicals have been used in the packaging process.
